Nandika & Alok
NANDIKA & ALOKâS WEDDING
ON THE SWAN RIVER + AT THE BURSWOOD ON SWAN AND CROWN TOWERS
***
Where do I even begin with these two?
HmmâĻ letâs just start with Alokâs first email.
He reached out asking to photograph his proposal. On a boat off the coast of Rottnest. A shot from a drone was his preference. If I could snipe one from the beach with a telescopic lens that would be a great too.
Ok, so I shouldnât have been surprised about the extravagance of the events to followâĻ but before you poke fun at me, just have a look at the epic three day event that followed a year later.

Nandika & Alokâs wedding will always be a fond memory of mine. Being thrown into the deep end of a culture so rich with tradition, emotion and colour was something Iâll never forget, and Iâll cherish it forever.
Thank you #Loksy, you and your family made me feel so welcome and for that I poured everything I had into this weekend.
Alright, thatâs your entree. Letâs kick it off at day one; on the Swan.
In a glass cube
âĻcalled the Crystal Swan.
After everyone had gotten acquainted with each other on the river, it was time for kick ons at the Crown.
May I present to you; Sagan, Chunni and Sangeet.
Alright, are we partied out yet? You better not be.
Get home and recharge, tomorrow is THE day.
What have I gotten myself intoâĻ?
Oh, just my favourite celebration. Ever.
Nilsa & Will
NILSA & WILLâS ENGAGEMENT PARTY
AT THE NORTH PERTH HALL
***
Being a part of another culture, even if itâs just for one night, is one of the warmest feelings I have the pleasure of feeling as a photographer.
Everything happens so quickly. From the moment Nilsa & Will walked in I knew I was in for a night of tradition, dancing and more dancing.
Thereâs lots of smiles in these. Plus some beautiful colours towards the end of the night (Thanks DJ ASHX). However the emotion pouring out from Nilsaâs brother during his dance with her was something to admire and is the very reason I love being a part of these familyâs cultures for one night.
Thatâs the creme of the crop. Hereâs the rest of the nightâĻ
